Ukraine: Violence hits council meeting as Right Sector force mayor to resign

A brawl broke out in the Ukrainian city of Smila, Wednesday, after a group of activists from the far-right nationalist Right-Sector tried to force the mayor of the city Alexei Tsibko, to resign during an assembly of the local city council.
The fighting broke out after a Right Sector activist attempted to snatch the microphone from the mayor and the mayor's advisor Kamil Valetov, got involved and tried to stop the Right Sector member. Others joined after punches were thrown and the violence increased.
At the end of the meeting of the city council, deputies voted on whether to depose of the mayor. The mayor was forced to step down after 28 deputies voted "For" the motion, with only three voting "Against."
