SOT, Geng Shuang, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Mandarin): "The Wuhan Government already took measures to strengthen departure and arrival control, this is the latest news I know. You can check the details with the relevant departments and local government. I want to emphasise that China always finds a responsible way to share the information with the relevant countries, world organisations, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. After we received the case reports from the relevant countries, we paid close attention and were enhancing cooperation via bilateral and multilateral channels. We are willing to work with all the sides to deal with the epidemic and maintain sanitary safety in the region and the world."

Chinese Wuhan city authorities controlled departures and arrivals over an outbreak of coronavirus infections, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang during a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.
"The Wuhan Government already took measures to strengthen departure and arrival control, this is the latest news I know," informed Geng adding that China is "willing to work with all the sides to deal with the epidemic and maintain the sanitary safety in the region and the world."
Geng informed that China will take part in the World Health Organisation's (WHO) emergency talks on Wednesday.
An outbreak of a respiratory illness caused by a newly emerging coronavirus - also known by the WTO as 2019-nCoV - was reported in the central Chinese town of Wuhan. Since then, six people have died and over 290 people were reportedly infected, according to the National Health Commission.
