South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and US political analyst David Gergen discussed future of the Korean peninsula and the post-Trump US in a panel on geopolitics during World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday.
"This year we really need to make some great big strides along this road to denuclearisation," said Kang Kyung-wha, discussing future prospects between North and South Korea.
"North Korean leader has now promised to come to the South for his fourth meeting with President Moon," added South Korean Foreign Minister.
Meanwhile, Gergen discussed the challenges the post-Trump US would face.
"There's going to come a time when there's going to be a new administration and it would be really helpful to begin preparing for that day", he said.
"But the discontent, the discontented voters who voted him in will still be there. And many of their issues will still be there," added David Gergen.
The 49th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting will run from January 22 to 25.
