Hundreds of activists and demonstrators held a march against police brutality in Washington DC on Monday.
Protesters can be seen marching through the streets of the American capital, chanting "Black lives matter" and giving speeches.
Activist Eugene Puryear, the mean speaker of the event, said that the summer in Washington DC had been a "momentous" one for his organisation and community, in that there had allegedly been deaths and beatings at the hands of police officers.
"We wanted to come out here tonight not only to remember those who have been killed, to recommit ourselves to the struggle, but also to recommit ourselves to our new goal here over the next few months at Stop Police Terror Project DC, and that is to end stop-and-frisk completely here in the district," Puryear said.
The March was held on October 22nd, which Puryear explained has been "the national day of action against police brutality" since 1996.
