Germany: Barenboim–Said Academy for young musicians inaugurated in Berlin

Renowned pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim inaugurated the new Barenboim–Said Academy in Berlin, Friday.
Barenboim stated that the opening of the academy is significant to enable the students to "play music together, [...] think together, [...] learn together, and how to grow together. This is the basic principle of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and the Barenboim–Said Academy."
Situated in the city's Mitte district, the academy will at first consist of 30 young musicians from the Middle-East, but is expected to be expanded to accommodate 90 Jewish and Arab students.
