Russia: Putin meets Serbian PM Vucic to discuss bilateral ties

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Moscow on Thursday, to discuss bilateral relations in economics, security and other areas.
Putin congratulated Vucic and his Progressive Party on victory in the recent parliamentary elections. "I would like to express my hope that no matter how the new cabinet looks like, there will be worthy people who pay serious attention to the development of relations between the Russian Federation and Serbia," he said.
Putin stressed that both countries will continue to work on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in areas concerning the economy, politics, and in the international arena.
Vucic thanked the Russian president for his congratulations and stressed that the new Serbian government will "do everything in order to develop relations with the Russian Federation in all directions – both in the economy and in politics."
