P5+1 ministers are making "progress" regarding the talks on Iran's nuclear programme, said British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond as he left Palais Coburg in Vienna on Friday. Speaking to journalists, the British Foreign Secretary announced that the ministers will regroup on Saturday and went on to express his confidence that the delegation would be able to settle their remaining differences. Since the beginning of the latest round of talks in Vienna, the parties have already missed several deadlines set for reaching and signing a deal. As a result of the latest overshoot, the US Congress will now delay any lifting of sanctions against Iran, even if an accord is signed, since it will take 60 days to decide whether to accept or reject it, keeping sanctions in place until then.
