A large group of protesters flooded New Town Plaza shopping centre in Hong Kong's residential district of Sha Tin on Tuesday, demanding its management to explain why riot police were allowed inside to evict protesters during July 14th demonstration.
The demonstrators took over the customer service centre, filling in complaint forms and holding pictures of the riot police clashing with protesters.
Legislative Councillor, Lam Cheuk Ting, was seen trying to mediate between the shopping centre's staff and demonstrators, whom he reassured he had already called the management to ask for answers.
The event follows July 14th protest against Hong Kong Chief Executive, Carrie Lam that turned violent resulting in clashes between riot police and protesters.
