A high-tech safety helmet that aims to help rescue workers on dangerous operations, was unveiled in
Novosibirsk, Friday.
The helmet is equipped with a video camera and WiFi, which enables users to stream live, so that team members can communicate and calculate safety risks when embarking on dangerous missions.
Special glasses provide a data screen with important information such as temperature, oxygen percentages and concentration of methane. Meanwhile, a built-in digital map enables users to navigate with ease.
The gear is also suitable for miners as it is fitted with an infrared camera that can differentiate between objects in absolute darkness.
