Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra cast his ballot at a polling station in Lima on Sunday, as Peruvians across the country headed to the polls to participate in a referendum on a number of political and judicial reforms.
Vizcarra spoke to the press after casting his vote, cautioning that "it's not with these reforms that we'll solve the problems," Vizcarra but added "this is the first step for the reforms we want, all Peruvians want."
The questions on the ballot include measures that would prohibit legislators from immediate re-election and the creation of a second chamber in congress.
Peruvians, who can vote until 21:00 GMT [22:00 CET] headed to 5,398 polling stations across the country.
