Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane told reporters that he was 'happy' with Los Blancos' squad ahead of his side's game against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Despite rumours linking Zidane with moves for his compatriot Paul Pogba and PSG star Neymar, in addition his frank admission that Gareth Bale was surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, the Real manager was looking forward to the La Liga season getting underway.
"Paul plays for Manchester United and we must respect that," Zidane said. "I'm happy with my players and I'm focused only on tomorrow's game."
Real Madrid endured a torrid pre-season, with a 2-2 draw to Roma the latest in a disappointing string of results for his new-look team, who lost 7-3 in spectacular fashion to city rivals Atletico.
The La Liga season will run from Friday 17th August 2019 until the end of May 2020.
