Austria: Turmoil in global markets after US elections short term - Ulyukaev

Turmoil in the global financial markets following the results of the US presidential elections would be short term, said Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukaev in Vienna, Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters in Vienna's Grand Hotel after meeting with Vice-Chancellor of Austria Reinhold Mitterlehner, Ulyukaev compared the current uncertainty in the markets with the financial consequences of Brexit. However, he expressed his confidence that the markets would balance out soon.
As for anti-Russian sanctions, Ulyukaev stressed that during his talks with Mitterlehner, the Austrian Minister had expressed his county's critical position on the restrictive measures, both those already in place and those being proposed at the moment for Russia's role in the Syrian conflict.
