25.05.2016
Refugees were bused from the Idomeni refugee camp, Wednesday, as Greek authorities continued to evict the inhabitants of the site some two months after the EU-Turkey refugee deal was signed.
Around 2,000 refugees are said to have been evicted from the camp since Tuesday morning, with authorities reportedly planning to have the whole camp dismantled by Wednesday evening. No journalists were allowed into the site at the time of the eviction, which was filmed from the Macedonian side of the border.
Greek authorities reportedly aim to settle at least 4,500 people at four hotspots in the cities of Oraiokastro and Kaloxori, which constitutes just under half of those currently residing at Idomeni.
