06.07.2016
German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with the members of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) in Berlin, Wednesday, where they discussed the inner state changes and the situation within the European Union following the 'Brexit' decision.
Merkel expressed that she is "very glad" to have discussed the EU situation "intensively", highlighting that Germany and the UK have "close trade relationships,” while noting that their economies "highly depend on good relations" between the two countries.
German Chancellor also urged the remaining 27 EU member states to join forces in "[doing] more for competitiveness, for more growth and therefore for more employment," noting "that is what people expect."
