21.02.2016
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders gave his concession speech at a rally in Henderson, Saturday, after coming in second to Hillary Clinton in the Nevada caucuses.
Taking 47.4 percent of the vote to Clinton's 52.5 percent with 85 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders gave a message of hope to his supporters, pointing out the large increase in Sanders supporters over the space of five weeks.
"In a short while I will be on a plane to South Carolina and we will be competing in eleven states all along this country on Super Tuesday. And I believe that on Super Tuesday we have got a chance to win in many of those states."
He added that "I believe that when Democrats assemble in Philadelphia in July, at that convention we are going to see the results of one of the great political upsets in the history of the US."
Tonight's voting takes place ahead of the key 'Super Tuesday' round of polling on March 1, when around a dozen states will choose their candidates for the November 8 presidential election.
