Sokol gun shop employee Roman confirmed that the Kerch college attacker had purchased ammunition from him. He was speaking during an interview in the city on Thursday.
“He only got ammunition from us. He did not buy a weapon from us," he said.
When asked what documents he required to make such a purchase, Roman said “his passport and permit to store a weapon."
"He didn't say anything unusual. He asked what every hunter asks and that's it. The price and quantity. Everything suited him and that was it,” he concluded.
According to EMERCOM, the death toll of the attack has risen to 21, with dozens of others wounded.
The incident, which saw several shots fired and at least one large blast, is being investigated as a multiple homicide, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee.
Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee are currently examining the site, but according to preliminary information, many of those killed died from bullet wounds.
