'All we want is justice' – Former Turkish minister discusses Khashoggi case

Egemen Bagis, former minister for EU Affairs and chief negotiator of Turkey in accession talks with the European Union, spoke to RT on Tuesday about the killed Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and Turkey's response to the case.
Bagis said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's demand to Saudi Arabia to allow Khashoggi's killers to be tried in Turkey was very clear.
"I think he [Erdogan] became the voice of millions or billions of consciousness people. He voiced what their consciousness told them," the former minister said.
"Turkey needs to find out what really happened. All we want is justice. And that's what the whole world wants and needs. Because an innocent man was killed," he added.
Khashoggi went to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to prepare documents for his upcoming marriage, but has not been seen since.
His fiancee claims to have waited outside for 11 hours but says he did not return.
Turkish officials claimed he was murdered inside while Saudi officials previously maintained that Khashoggi had left the consulate.
They later reversed their position after an internal investigation, and now claim Khashoggi died as a result of a fight inside the consulate.
