Ranjit Srivastava developed the world's first Hindi speaking realistic humanoid robot named Rashmi, footage from Ranchi on Tuesday shows.
Rashmi, who can speak Hindi, Bhojpuri and Marathi along with English, embodies linguistic interpretation, artificial intelligence, visual data and facial recognition systems.
With a masters-degree in business administration, Srivastava, who has expertise in software development for more than 15 years, spent two years in developing the robot.
"I want to show the world that India can also make this kind of robot and India has also the capabilities which can contribute in the advancement of the robotic world, which is the next revolution," he said.
