Russia: Caspian Flotilla ends five days ofmilitary drills with a bang

Over 20 ships of the Russian Caspian Flotilla completed five-day drills in the Northern and Central parts of the Caspian Sea, Saturday, as the vessels moved towards their respective bases at Makhachkala and Astrakhan ports.
Soldiers were captured aboard one of the flotilla’s warships, shooting at objects on the water with various kinds of weapons during the drills. Warships and support vessels of various sizes were deployed in the trainings, including the Tatarstan missile ship, the small missile ships Uglich and Velikiy Ustyug, the small artillery ship Volgodonsk, and the missile boat Stupinets, among others.
Four attack aircraft and about 1,000 soldiers were also deployed in the military exercises. The soldiers also participated in joint exercises with the aircraft of the Southern Military District to check the level of air defence.
