Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu threatened Kurdish YPG fighters from Ankara, Monday, warning them that they would face the "harshest reaction" if they attempted to approach the northern Syrian town of Azaz.
Davutoglu extended his warning to the Syrian Menagh military air base near the town of Azaz, where intense fighting was seen last month. The Turkish Prime Minister stated "if they [the YPG] don't withdraw their forces, this airport will be rendered unusable."
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights already reported on Saturday, that Turkish artillery shelled targets under control of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) around Azaz in northern Aleppo governorate.
