Greece: Hundreds protest NATO, EU at Souda Bay military base

More than 500 people protested against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), European Union (EU) and in favour of refugees at the main entrance of the NATO base in Souda Bay, near Chania, on Sunday.
Protesters, among them students, workers, members of various left-wing groups waved red flags, held banners and chanted slogans against NATO, while marching towards the military base. A heavy police presence was deployed to prevent the protesters from entering. No clashes or arrest were reported at the time of writing.
