Army officials, World War II veterans and Estonian citizens attended a ceremony where the remains of soldiers of the Soviet Red Army, which were recently discovered in Estonia, were buried with honour, Sunday, at the Maardu Cemetery. Attendees came to the ceremony to honour the memory of the fallen heroes and laid flowers at the soldiers' graves. A priest held a burial ceremony and many veterans turned up to pay tribute to their companions who lost their lives in the war. A band also played music after the ceremony was held. The remains of the 97 soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War (WWII) were found. Specialists managed to identify one of the Red Army soldier as Gregory Zemlyanoy, a native of Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine.
