10.11.2016
A unique grave-digging competition kicked off for a second year in Trencin, on Thursday, with the several teams participating from Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.
Ladislav Striz, the organiser of the competition, claims it is the only grave-digging competition in Central Europe.
The contest consisted of two parts, where each team had to dig and cover a grave. Jurors then measured the graves' dimensions and assigned scores. Mattocks and shovels were at disposal for two men from each team. A team of Slovaks, from the town of Zeliezovce, finished the task in 54 minutes.
The competition was a part of a funeral expo, where new trends in funeral and cremation services were presented.
