Police discovered syringes in a hotel room in Alfortville, in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, on Tuesday where Salah Abdeslam, now dubbed "Public Enemy Number One," and an accomplice allegedly stayed before launching Friday's attacks on the French capital. Authorities are now determining if the syringes were used to make explosives or to inject drugs. Abdeslam reportedly used his credit card to book rooms 311 and 312 at the Appart'City Paris Alfortville two days before the attacks took place. Police raided the rooms over the weekend, searching the third floor of the Appart'City hotel and seizing the hard drive of the hotel reception's computer. Along with the syringes, police discovered pizza boxes in the room and six DNA matches to the Paris suspects. The hotel had not been fitted with CCTV. A sign reading "We are Paris" flew from a fence near the hotel as police continue their manhunt for Abdeslam. Brussels-born Abdeslam, is suspected of being involved in the Paris attacks that took place on Friday. His brother, Ibrahim Abdeslam, detonated a suicide bomb outside the cafe Comptoir Voltaire during the attacks. Salah was reportedly stopped by French police in the hours following the attacks, but not detained, as the intelligence linking him to the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) was not made available to the police. At least 129 people were killed and more than 349 left injured 99 critically, after a series of coordinated attacks were carried out at six different locations across Paris on Friday evening. At least 87 of those victims were killed after gunmen opened fire during a concert at the Bataclan theatre, taking dozens hostage before detonating suicide bombs. Police stormed the venue, freeing the hostages and killing one of the attackers. Dozens more were killed in attacks at the French national stadium and a string of popular bars and restaurants. The, so-called, Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
