There were mobilizations in 17 provinces with roadblocks and blocked bridges, and all the other demonstrations that took place throughout the country to demand a 36-hour strike to defeat the adjustment."

Thousands of Labour Union supporters and other left-wing groups gathered in the streets of Buenos Aires on Thursday to march against austerity measures and the ongoing economic malaise in Argentina.
"We want money for health and education. The people come first, then there is the International Monetary Fund and that is why we are here, because we want to change this government's order of priorities," said union leader Ruben Sobrero.
Footage shows protesters carrying flags and banners against the structural adjustment implemented by the government as part of a 2018 deal with the International Monetary Fund.
The Argentine economy has faced renewed troubles since President Mauricio Macri was defeated by opposition candidate Alberto Fernandez in the primary elections. The result sent shockwaves through the economy, with the Argentine Peso plummeting against the US Dollar.
