Ognjan Karazanov, founder of Food Safety Academy, developed a digital platform with partners to enhance food safety practices in Bulgaria. The platform combines educational modules and technological tools to simplify daily documentation, save time, and shift focus from reactive measures to prevention. Karazanov, a former personal chef for affluent individuals abroad, returned to Bulgaria six years ago to address the challenges of implementing good food safety practices locally. Currently, the platform is being piloted in kindergartens in Stara Zagora and other cities, and it received an innovation award for its development last year. Its goal is to provide higher-level monitoring and training for various establishments, including institutions caring for children, by leveraging technology to support human effort rather than replace it.
