Football legend Diego Maradona lost his first match as the head coach of Argentina's first division team Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in La Plata on Sunday. It was beaten by local rival Racing 1-2.
"I had the bitterness of not being able to tie the game in the end, in the one we had. Racing made the goals and it was not as I had seen it or we had been watching it in videos. He made rather dirty goals but he won and there is no need to cry," said Maradona.
Before the game hopes were high among Gimnasia fans with some of them praising the atmosphere that he brought to the club.
