U.S presidential candidate Bernie Sanders received a warm welcome by the George Mason University students in Fairfax, Virginia, Wednesday. Sanders talked to the students for two hours on the matters of education, personal liberties, health system and racism. During his speech he called for an end to the federal prohibition on marijuana, saying that it should be regulated like alcohol. During the Q and A session, one of the students from the audience asked Sanders about his stand on hatred against muslims, created by the media. Sanders asked the girl to come up to the stage and gave her a hug. He told the crowd that there is "hatred being generated against immigrants in this country. I will do everything that I can to rid this country of the ugly stain of racism." He continued to say that "we have got to stand together and end all forms of racism and I will lead that effort as the president of the United States." Sanders urged the young audience to register to vote, saying that "right-wing republicans, sponsored by billionaires win elections when people do not come out to vote."
