Millions of commuters were affected by a taxi drivers strike in Mexico City on Monday, as the industry expresses frustration at competition from ride-sharing apps like Uber and Cabify.
The city's distinctive pink-and-white taxis descended on the city centre, occupying Zocalo square.
Drivers honked their horns and flashed their lights, while some fake a crucifixion to draw attention to their cause.
"We want foreign companies to leave, because they come to exploit Mexicans," said Juan Pina Bernal, head of the taxis at bus stations union. He also complained about an eight-year freeze in fares.
