Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that "direct" talks between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk remain the best way to end the Ukraine crisis, after meeting Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in Moscow, Monday. Lavrov said that both Minsk and Moscow agreed when it came to the issue of the Ukraine conflict. "We have one position that the key to resolving Ukraine crisis is the full and comprehensive realisation of the measures which were approved in Minsk on February 12 this year," he added. He also discussed the departure of Heidi Tagliavini, one of the principle movers in the Minsk II accords. Lavrov said that he thinks that "she has her own reasons" for leaving the role.
