French presidential candidate and Front National leader, Marine Le Pen, suggested that the EU is restricting France in its decision-making and inhibiting its autonomy, as she attended an event in Reims, on Friday.
Attending the showcase for “Foundation on Produce in France”, Le Pen called for “Made in France” labelling to be reintroduced as a standard, but complained that the EU was hindering those efforts, in order to see “the world becoming flat and humans universally interchangeable”.
After speaking about her labelling concerns, the right-wing party leader added that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) is preventing France from deporting “fundamentalist foreign Islamist”, thus stopping the government from protecting its citizens.
A recent poll conducted between September 2-5, involving 1,006 voters, suggested that Le Pen and former Prime Minister Alain Juppe currently receive the most support for the upcoming election on April 23. Out of the 1,006 people taking part in the survey, 33% would have voted for Juppe and 29% for Le Pen.
