The Russian Black Sea fleet took part in naval drills in Sevastopol, Thursday, to counter a potential attack launched by underwater saboteurs.
Commander-in-chief of the Russian navy, Vladimir Korolev, supervised the drills aimed at boosting port security.
More than ten ships and support vessels as well as Mi-8 and Ka-27PS helicopters took part in the drills.
Marines practiced search and sweep operations for mines, assisted a stricken missile ship 'Mirazh' and deployed a mobile base for radio navigation systems.
Marine maneuvers constitute a preparation programme for 'Kavkaz-2016' and are due to finish on Saturday.
