Austria: Kerry does some holiday shopping during interval in Iran talks

Taking a break from the P5+1 talks on Iran's nuclear programme, US Secretary of State John Kerry decided to take in a little holiday shopping at the Almaz jewellery store in Vienna, Friday. Crowds swarmed around the US diplomat's car after he left the jewellery shop, some carrying anti-US placards. Kerry's column of cars, flanked by police, later made its way through the centre of Vienna, leaving spectators looking bemused. Following Iran talks on Thursday, Kerry told press that "some of the tough issues remain unresolved," adding that, whilst negotiators "shouldn't get up and leave" because of time constraints, the US were "not going to sit at the negotiating table forever." Negotiators from Russia, China, France, the UK, the US, Germany and Iran re-convened in Vienna last week to try and reach a final agreement on a nuclear deal. The P5+1 foreign ministers and the Iran delegation will regroup on Saturday to continue negotiations in the hope of settling their remaining differences.
