Hillary Clinton Still Won’t Answer on Keystone: I’ll Tell You When I Become President

At a New Hampshire town hall Tuesday morning, a voter asked Hillary Clinton to answer “yes or no, please” on whether she’d approve the Keystone XL pipeline as president.
Clinton did neither, saying instead that she won’t answer until she becomes president.
“This is President Obama’s decision, and I am not going to second-guess him because I was in a position to set this in motion and I do not think that would be the right thing to do,” she said. “So, I want to wait and see what he and Secretary Kerry decide.”
As secretary of state, Clinton began the department’s lengthy assessment of the project, released in a 2014 report. Obama earlier this year vetoed congressional legislation to start construction on the pipeline, saying the decision is up to the executive branch.
