Netherlands: Geert Wilders appears in court to face hate speech charges

Right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders arrived at a high-security court near Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, Friday, to faces charges of inciting hatred against the Dutch Moroccan minority.
The leader of the anti-Islam, anti-migrant Party for Freedom (PVV) faces two charges related to comments he made when addressing a crowd of supporters in March 2014. He is alleged to have asked the crowd whether they wanted more or fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands, and when the crowd responded "fewer" a smiling Wilders is said to have replied: "We'll take care of that."
If convicted Wilders may go to prison for as long as a year and faces a fine of several thousand euros.
