Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic discussed bilateral relations and trade between the two countries during a protocol meeting held in Belgrade on Thursday.
“Our trade volume is growing. Imports from Russia have grown by 30 percent and exports from Serbia by 40 percent,” Vucic said, adding that the two countries hope to boost cooperation in innovative and digital technologies.
“It is true, the trade turnover is increasing, it has practically become two billion of dollars,” Putin said.
“Our relations have become more and more diversified, which is great. [I speak about] mechanic engineering, energy and infrastructure,” he said.
The Russian president will reportedly present Vucic with the order of Aleksandar Nevski. The presidents will also hold the joint press conference and visit Serbian Orthodox temple of St. Sava later on Thursday.
