Ship Carrying 400 Passengers Sinks in Yangtze River

The official Xinhua News Agency has reported a passenger ship carrying more than 440 people has sunk in the Yangtze river in southern China with seven people having so far been rescued.
Xinhua said further rescue work was underway. The report said the boat was travelling from Nanjing to the southwestern city of Chongqing when it sank at 9:28pm on Monday.
It is reported that the boat was carrying 397 Chinese passengers, five travel agency employees and 42 crew members.
