Russian President Vladimir Putin met Premier of Chinese State Council Li Keqiang in Moscow on Wednesday.
The Russian leader said the Chinese delegation’s visit would improve “the development of our cross-government and economic links,” and added he is looking forward to meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping in November.
Keqiang on his side spoke on the importance of Russian-Chinese cooperation amid “taking into the consideration the unrest in the world, and the regional and international economics.”
"China and Russia are the two biggest neighbouring countries. It is important for us to strengthen our friendship and cooperation," he added.
The prime minister and the Chinese delegation arrived in Russia with an official visit on September 16.
On Tuesday Keqiang discussed trade and bilateral ties with his Russian counterpart Dmitri Medvedev in St. Petersburg.
