03.10.2016
Several thousand Pegida supporters marched through Dresden, Monday, to mark German Unity day with a protest against the government. Pegida founder Lutz Bachmann was present among the crowd.
The protest gathered at the main bus station near the central station in Dresden, before marching around the area of festivities and reaching the final location at Lignerallee across from the city hall.
The protest was accompanied by police. A smaller counter-protest chanting against xenophobia was seen and heard on the sidelines but police kept both groups apart.
