France: Gunman shouted 'Allahu Akbar' in Strasbourg attack - prosecutor

The Strasbourg gunman yelled "Allahu Akbar" - "God is Great" in Arabic - as he opened fired at a Christmas market, Paris public prosecutor Remy Heitz said in Strasbourg on Wednesday
Two people were killed and another left brain-dead in Tuesday's shooting, which is being treated as a terrorist attack.
Twelve people were were also wounded, six seriously.
The suspect, named by police as Cherif Chekatt, had an extensive criminal record - 27 convictions in total - and was known to authorities for having been radicalised in prison, Heitz confirmed.
The prosecutor also revealed that investigators had found a number of weapons in his home, including "a defensive grenade, a 22mm long rifle - which was charged - with a lot of ammunition, four knives and two hunting knives."
