More than 300 surface-to-air missiles were launched in military drills at the Ashuluk testing range in Astrakhan region, as shown in footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defence on Thursday.
During the exercises the troops from Russia’s Southern Military District intercepted rockets using several different missile systems, including the S-300 Favorit, Pantsir-S, Tunguska and Shilka complexes.
In total, more than two thousand soldiers and an equal amount of military units and special equipment, in addition to more than 100 aircraft, were involved in the drills.
