W/S Argentine President Mauricio Macri speaking on stage at event commemorating 25th anniversary of Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) bombing, Buenos Aires
SOT, Mauricio Macri, Argentinian President (Spanish): "Twenty five years have passed since the AMIA attack, 25 years. An entire generation of Argentines who are witness to the impunity and lack of justice. This was a hit to the entire country, to our democratic system and to each and every Argentine. That is why we decree today, the 18th of July, to be a national day of mourning for the entire country to remember and honour the victims and their families." *MULTIPLE SHOTS AT SOURCE*

SOT, Mauricio Macri, Argentinian President (Spanish): "We have created a registry of persons and entities linked to acts of terrorism and their financing. That allowed for the Financial Information Unit today to freeze the assets and accounts linked to entities of Hezbollah involved in acts of terrorism or their financing." *MULTIPLE SHOTS AT SOURCE*

Argentina designated Lebanon's Hezbollah movement as a terrorist organisation on Thursday.
The move was announced by Argentine President Mauricio Macri at a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) bombing, in Buenos Aires.
"We have created a registry of persons and entities linked to acts of terrorism and their financing. That allowed for us today to freeze the assets and accounts linked to entities of Hezbollah involved in acts of terrorism or their financing," Macri announced.
Hezbollah is already designated a terrorist organisation by the US, UK, Israel and several Gulf Arab states. Argentina is the first country in Latin America to do so.
The AMIA bombing - which Argentina claims was planned and financed by Iran, and carried out by Hezbollah - was the South American country's deadliest terrorist attack.
Both Iran and Hezbollah deny any involvement. The case remains open to this day.
