Police fired tear gas on ant-government demonstrators to disperse a protest in central Baghdad on Thursday. The rally took place as Iraq's parliament announced that a vote on the new cabinet of Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Allawi was postponed due to the lack of quorum.
Footage shows a number of injured protesters treated by paramedics with the help of volunteers.
12 people were reportedly killed and hundreds more injured during clashes over the past days.
At least 500 were killed since protests over corruption, high unemployment and external meddling began in October. The demonstrations forced Allawi's predecessor Adel Abdul Mahdi to resign from his post on December 1.
