Space Station Camera Captures Ominous Video of Super Typhoon Maysak

On Tuesday March 31, 2015, the International Space Station's High-Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) experiment captured views of Super Typhoon Maysak from space and broadcasted it live on Ustream. Astronauts on board the ISS also took photos of the typhoon which lashed the tiny island of Yap with strong winds and heavy rain.
It's now headed for the central Philippines, but Super Typhoon Maysak has already set records by achieving its high intensity, marking the first time there have been two major typhoons of Category 3 or above before April 1.
