Hundreds of far-right activists from the Pro Chemnitz movement marched through the Saxon city on Sunday to mark one year since a stabbing that triggered mass protests there. Footage shows protesters holding banners with printed news articles covering the incident.
In August 2018, a German man was stabbed to death allegedly during a fight with two refugees from Iraq and Syria. The incident sparked mass rallies against immigration in Chemnitz.
Saxony will hold state elections next Sunday in which the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) is hoping to make gains with its anti-migration policies.
