Ukraine: DPR's Basurin slams Dutch MH17 investigation as 'flawed at its core'

The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR) don't recognize the findings of the Dutch investigation into the downing of flight MH17, the DPR's Defence Minister Eduard Basurin told journalists in Donetsk, Wednesday. Speaking at a press conference, Basurin slammed both the investigation, and the report of the international investigative committee as "biased and politicized." Basurin added that its conclusions are "flawed" at their "core" while pointing to recent investigation results published by BUK-producer Almaz-Antey which state that the missile allegedly fired at MH17 was outdated - and therefore not part of the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces - and fired from an area that was controlled by pro-Kiev forces at the time. The MH-17 was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam when it was downed in the skies over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. All 298 people including 80 children and 15 crew members were killed.
