Special Representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine, Martin Sajdik, addressed the press at the Minsk President Hotel in the Belarusian on Wednesday, after a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine and its working subgroups.
Discussing the meeting, Sajdik stated that despite efforts being taken the "progress regarding the release of the people detained due to the conflict" has not been achieved. "The coordinator [of the working group on security] called all sides of the conflict to show more political will for solving this issue especially for the release of ill and injured people," he added.
Sajdik went on to say that "the working group on the political issues continued to discuss the possibilities for local elections in ORLO and ORDO [armed creation of DPR and LPR] with special attention to the organisation of the election system and role of the political parties."
