Russia’s Pacific and Northern Fleet carried out missile drills in the Sea of Japan and on the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, respectively, as shown by footage released by Russia's Defence Ministry.
The Pacific Fleet fired two Mosquito anti-ship cruise missiles which successfully eliminated an above-water target during tactical drills.
According to the MoD, the projectiles were simultaneously launched by a destroyer and a missile boat, hitting the target some 60 kilometres (37 miles) away.
In the Arctic, the newest version of the TOR-M2DT air defence missile system successfully intercepted aerial targets.
The new version of the TOR-M2 missile system is designed for severe cold of the Arctic and Far North.
