06.07.2015
Unemployment may be dropping nationally but President Barack Obama shouldn’t be taking credit – he should be thanking Texas, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Sunday. Perry said on ABC’s “This Week," “If the president wants to be honest, what he should have said in his State of the Union address is I want to salute Texas for making sure that we have a positive job growth in this country, because without Texas this country would have been 1.1 million jobs below water." Perry, who is seeking the Republican presidential nomination for the second time, cited a 1.5 million job growth in Texas from end of 2007 to 2014.
He also charged that the president has been putting job-killing regulations in place through federal agencies and executive orders.
