MPs have voted to take control of the parliamentary timetable in an unprecedented move to try and find a majority for any Brexit option on Monday night.
The amendment tabled by former Tory minister Oliver Letwin passed by 329 votes to 302, a majority of 27.
It means that MPs will now get a series of votes on Wednesday to find out what kind of Brexit they will support.
British Prime Minister Theresa May declined to say whether she would abide by the outcome of the so-called 'indicative votes'.
